Q: What's the difference between sewing thread and bag closing thread ?
Different industries utilize polyester sewing thread. Our polyester sewing thread is mainly suitable for further processing by dyeing factories, thread companies, and the garment industry. Deman’s bag closing thread is made from the same polyester staple fiber but serves a different sector — the packaging industry. It is ideal for sealing heavy-duty multi-wall paper bags, Raschel bags, and woven polypropylene (BOPP) bags, which are typically used to hold seeds, large animal feed, charcoal, rice, cement, fruits, and other goods. Intuitively, regular sewing thread is thinner, while bag closing thread is thicker and stronger.

Q: How can we choose the right bag sewing thread for our production process ?
This is a highly practical question, isn’t it? For consumables, businesses across industries seek suitable products that boost efficiency and cut costs — and we’re here to guide you through this. Our core product range includes the following sewing threads: Ne10/2, Ne10/3, Ne10/4, Ne12/4, Ne12/5, Ne20/6, Ne20/7, Ne20/8, Ne20/2, Ne20/3, Ne30/2, Ne40/2, etc. Under normal circumstances, the finer the thread, the lower its tensile strength. Conversely, thicker threads deliver greater breaking force. For sewing lightweight bags, opt for finer threads with longer lengths. For heavy-duty bags (e.g., those holding cement, rice, or similar goods), choose thicker threads to prevent breakage. In addition, it’s crucial to match the thread with the appropriate needle and sewing machine. For more details or personalized recommendations, feel free to contact us. We’re happy to address any questions you may have.
